United Civic Center
Overview
The United Civic Center, located at 415 Maple St., sits at the east edge of Baldwin and is the home of the Blackhawk Hockey Association. The organization serves Baldwin and the neighboring communities of Woodville, Hammond, Roberts, Spring Valley, Glenwood City and area townships. In cooperative arrangement with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association and the school districts of Baldwin-Woodville, St. Croix Central and Glenwood City, there is a full schedule of hockey games and tournaments during the months of October through April.
Amenities
The indoor ice rink, about 190 feet by 95 feet in size, takes a majority of the space in the 250-by-120-foot center. Seating capacity is 450 and the two-tiered player boxes provide ample room for hockey athletes during games. There is a concession stand with a full range of foods and soft drinks. A game arcade and a fully stocked pro shop carrying sporting supplies are also special features of the center.
Additional Information
For more information and the latest monthly newsletter for the hockey association, call the United Civic Center at (715) 684-3831 or visit the organization's website.
