The Village Board of Trustees is comprised of six members and one president. They are elected on a rotational basis and serve two-year terms. They are all able to make motions and vote on any and all issues presented.
They are responsible for the management and control of the Village property, finances, highways, streets, navigable waters and the public service. They have the power to act for the government and good order of the Village. They have the responsibility to oversee health, safety, welfare and convenience of the public. They are also responsible for licensing regulation, suppression, borrowing, taxation, special assessment, appropriation, fine, imprisonment and other necessary or convenient means.
