When the form is submitted to the Village Clerk's office, the police chief will review it and the Village Clerk/Deputy Clerk will approve or deny the issuance of the license.  The license issued by the Village of Baldwin is only valid within the Village limits and may not be used to work in another town or municipality.

A transient merchant/peddler's permit is required in the Village of Baldwin for individuals who engage in the retail sale of merchandise typically going door-to-door.  An application must be filled out and returned to the clerk's office for review.

The fee for a transient merchant/peddlers permit is $100 + $30 weekly fee.  The permits are not issued immediately.  Allow 3-5 days for review and possible approval.
